Delegates of International School of Medicine (ISM), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Usenova A.A., Head of the Academic Methodological Department, Eremenko V.V., and Lecturer of the Department for Public Health, Associate Professor Vishnyakov D.V. attended International highly-interactive symposium of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) held from 24th to 28th August of 2019, Vienna, Austria.
AMEE is a worldwide organization with members in 90 countries on five continents. Members include teachers, educators, researchers, administrators, curriculum developers, deans, assessors, students, trainees in medicine the healthcare professions.
AMEE promotes international excellence in education as well as healthcare professions across the continuum of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education.
During the symposium, ISM delegates had a meeting with the WFME and FAIMER members: David Gordon, President of WFME, John J Norcini, President CEO of FAIMER, USA, Marta van Zanten, FAIMER, USA.
The main topic of the discussion was the “Recognition program for accrediting
agencies: purpose, process, and criteria”.
During the meeting, it was decided that representatives of WFME and FAIMER would visit Kyrgyzstan in October 2019 to continue cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic as well as ISM.
