Approval of hospitals for each medical educational institution in Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic decided to approve one hospital for each medical educational institution Minister Gulnara Baatyrova expressed confidence that such an experience would strengthen the country's personnel level and create conditions for replenishing regional hospitals with specialists.

“Current students are the future hope of our medicine. The Ministry of Health, with the support of the head of the country Sadyr Zhaparov, is conducting large-scale work to strengthen the capacity of healthcare organizations, but it must be understood that this should be related to science and training. I invite all participants to work together in this social project, because the relationship of the future medical worker with the patient is very important for the student. District health organizations can provide students with a clinical base for acquiring practical skills. In the future, this can be developed through best practices and public-private partnerships. There is also hope that some of the students will continue to work in the regions and strengthen the personnel potential of regional hospitals,” Baatyrova said.

In total, there are 23 higher medical schools (6 public and 17 private) and 27 colleges (14 public and 13 private) in the country.
