BERNICA Summer School in Issyk-Kul

Today, the BERNICA Summer School, organized by the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), has commenced at the Rainbow Recreation Center in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan. The BERNICA Summer School has brought together participants from 8 medical universities in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as lecturers from FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, Graz, Austria, and Medipol University, Istanbul, Turkey.

The opening ceremony of the Summer School was inaugurated by Dr. Aliya E. Bazhanova, Dean of Postgraduate Education at ISM and the project coordinator from ISM, and Dr. Manuela Konrad, Associate Professor at FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences. They shared the vision and goals of the Summer School and extended their wishes for a fruitful collaboration.

The aim of the BERNICA Summer School is to train medical university educators from Central Asia in the development of educational modules on nutrition and dietetics. These modules are based on advanced technologies and scientific achievements, innovative teaching methods, and conducting scientific research in this field.
