On April 3, 2023, the Humanities  Department  of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) conducted the 1st stage of the Intra-University Debate Championship, organized by "Adabiyyat" literature club. 

The opening speech was given to the Head of the Department - Alymkulova N.N., and the President of the literature club, moderator of the debate - Ayub Kharroub. 

Eight teams participated in the first stage and debated in the following topics such as alcohol, socialism, and education. The judges selected four teams to move on to the semi-finals, which were held on April 8, 2023. 

The semi-final and final debates covered historical and contemporary topics, and the judges crowned "The Orators" as the champions of the championship, whereas “Hayat” took the second place and “The verbal victors” and “Triagons” took the third place. 

The event aimed to develop constructive dialogue, critical thinking, public speaking, and team spirit among the IHSM students. All participants were awarded certificates, while the winners received trophies, medals, and certificates.
