The International Higher School of Medicine celebrates its first successful defense of master's theses, confirming the high level of student preparation and the quality of the educational program. The thesis defense took place on June 21, 2023, when master students presented their research findings before the State Attestation Commission (SAC).

The State Attestation Commission included the following members:
Chairperson of the Commission - Nurila Almazbekova, Ph.D. of Medical Sciences, Director of the Republican Health Strengthening Center at the Ministry of Health.

Deputy Chairperson of the Commission - Ziyabidin Aidarov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.

Members of the SAC:

• Madaminjan Karataev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
• Aynash Sharshenova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of the International Higher School of Medicine.
• Vera Toigombaeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Epidemiology, of I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.

Secretary of the SAC - Mayramkul Turdumambetova, Ph.D. of Medical Sciences, Lecturer at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of the International Higher School of Medicine.

The masters students, Kadis Leonid Ruvimovich and Eslavat Sharat Kumar Naik, presented their dissertations titled Epidemiology of Mental Disorders and Homicide in the Leningrad Region and Evaluation of Stress Management in Kadapa District, Police Personnel, Andhra Pradesh State, India, respectively. They showcased profound knowledge in their respective research areas and demonstrated their ability to analyze, synthesize, and apply acquired knowledge in practical situations. Their research stood out for its originality, scientific significance, and practical applicability.

The SAC carefully examined the theses, asked questions, and engaged in discussions with the authors. As a result, all presented dissertations were approved and deemed worthy of receiving the masters degree.
The SAC members highly appreciated the level of student preparation as well as the work of the academic advisors who guided the students throughout the dissertation preparation process.

The event took place in an atmosphere of academic excellence and scholarly exchange of ideas.
