Advanced training on the topic: How to improve the research quality and become a world-class scientist
The joint advanced training program of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov and the European Representative Office of the University Modern Education & Research Institute was held online from May 15 to June 02, 2023. 18 IHSM teachers took part in this program. The program consisted of 8 thematic blocks, each of which explored in detail pedagogical and digital methods and tools to help conduct and administer research, as well as advise students on their research projects.
As a result of the training, program participants:
• Learned to work with abstract databases and defined their role in modern science;
• Learned to ask the right research question;
• Explored the application of stasis theory to define research topics, develop research questions,
and develop arguments;
• Familiarized with different types of literature reviews needed for different research tasks;
• Understood how to apply the principles of open science to university researches and become a
world-class scientist.
