The 72nd March Meeting General Assembly of the The International Federation of Medical Students Associations
The 72nd March Meeting General Assembly of the The International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) will be held as a fully physical event in Tallinn, Estonia that will take place from 1st to 7th of March 2023.
IFMSA General Assemblies are among the biggest youth-led events around the world. Held twice a year – once in March, once in August – they are attended by over 800 medical students from 100+ countries!
IFMSA was founded in 1951, and it is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organisations. It represents, connects and engages every day with an inspiring and engaging network of 1.3 million medical students from 139 National Member Organizations in 130 countries around the globe.
AMSA – Kyrgyzstan (KG) is a non-profitable , non-governmental , non-political student led organization which represents local and International medical students of Kyrgyzstan which was established in supervision of the IHSM is a full member of the IFMSA.
Moreover, AMSA-KG facilitates international cooperation in professional training and contributes to the development of the culturally aware and socially responsible physicians.
IFMSA has a special consultative status within United Nations, and has been recognized as worldwide medical student representatives by the World Health Organization and the World Medical Association on several occasions. The IFMSA’s activities range from raising awareness on public health, human rights and reproductive health issues to involving students actively in medical curricula reforms and medical education.
Due to VISA issues, both delegates of AMSA-KG will be attending the the 72nd March Meeting General Assembly in Estonia online.
