The conference focused on the upcoming XXIX World Congress on Echinococcosis

Ainazik M. Omurzakova, Ph.D. (Law), Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), participated in a press conference held today by the Kyrgyz National News Agency "Kabar." The conference focused on the upcoming XXIX World Congress on Echinococcosis, a significant scientific event scheduled for August 28-30, 2023.

During the press conference, participants highlighted the congress's pivotal role as a major scientific gathering, with special emphasis on its significance for the host country. This year's congress marks a historic milestone, being the first time to be held in the Russian-speaking part of the world. The event is organized under the sponsorship of the World Association of Echinococcosis, the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Zurich University, International Higher School of Medicine, Department of Disease Prevention, and the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Veterinary Science named after A. Duisheev.

The congress aims to unite researchers and professionals from diverse corners of the globe, representing Africa, South and North America, Europe, and Asia. It will encompass plenary meetings, scientific sessions, presentations, and poster sessions in a hybrid format. The congress will also feature a celebratory gala dinner to foster informal networking opportunities.

The event is expected to attract a wide array of experts, including physicians, healthcare organizers, veterinarians, biologists, parasitologists, pharmacologists, infectious disease specialists, surgeons, epidemiologists, laboratory specialists, and economists.
