On November 14, 2025, at the A.S. Pushkin Center for Russian Language and Culture under the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, as well as at the Chingiz Aitmatov Center for Kyrgyz Language and Culture under the Department of Foreign Languages, Head of the Dep artment of State Language and Language Policy of IHSM, Rima Zaiyrkulova, conducted masterclasses on the following topics: “Educational Opportunities through Comparing the Ideas of the Epics ‘Manas’ and ‘Mahabharata’” and “Teaching Chingiz Aitmatov’s Novella ‘Jamila’.” The meeting was attended by the university leadership, professors and lecturers of the Departments of Translation Theory and Practice and Foreign Languages, as well as students of the Department of “Translation Theory and Practice: Russian and English Languages.”
The masterclasses provided a wide discussion of Chingiz Aitmatov’s works, teaching through the comparison of world epics, current trends in linguistics and translation studies, as well as issues of language teaching methodology. During the question-and-answer session, participants discussed the prospects for scientific cooperation and plans for further joint research.
