Russian language instructors of the Department of Humanities at IHSM participated in the 6th International Practice-Oriented Forum on Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) “Living Russian”, held on June 5–6, 2026.
The forum brought together teachers of Russian and Russian as a Foreign Language, methodologists, and authors of RFL textbooks from different countries. Leading experts and speakers from more than 13 countries around the world shared their knowledge and experience, making the forum a unique platform for international professional exchange and collaboration.
During the event, participants explored modern approaches to teaching Russian as a Foreign Language, attended expert-led workshops, discussed current trends and challenges in language education, and expanded their professional networks.
A particularly memorable moment was meeting Olga V. Plotnikova, one of the authors of the widely used RFL textbook “Hello, Russia!”.
Participation in such events inspires new professional achievements, enhances teaching skills, and opens new opportunities for international cooperation in the field of language education.
We would like to thank the forum organizers for the rich program, warm atmosphere, and the opportunity to be part of a large international community of Russian language educators.
