An event aimed at informing about the inadmissibility of covering the face for religious reasons in public places and the necessity of keeping the face uncovered

Based on the letters from the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated July 22, 2025, No. 04/227, and the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 3, 2025, No. 581, it has been instructed to carry out informational work in public places, higher education institutions, as well as through television and radio broadcasts. As part of this assignment, on November 20, 2025, an informational event for students was organized at IHSM by the Dean’s Office and the Department of the State Language and Language Policy.

The event was attended by Senior Operational Officer for Specially Important Affairs of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek, Police Colonel M.A. Kachkynbaev, Vice-Rector for Science, the State Language, and Language Policy Professor Orozali J. Uzakov, as well as Education Advisor and Partner Mr. Uneeb Ud Din. The Head of the Department of the State Language and Language Policy, Rima J. Zaiyrkulova, and expert linguist Diana A. Galieva prepared a special presentation for the students. The event was attended by students from all courses, from 1st to 5th year, as well as deputy deans.

The main goal of the event was to clarify that covering the face for religious reasons in public places is prohibited and to emphasize the importance of keeping the face uncovered. During the event, the significance of law compliance and each citizen's responsibility for ensuring public safety was thoroughly highlighted. Informational work in this direction will continue, focusing on systematically improving students’ legal awareness, strengthening security measures, and promoting the state language.
