On December 13, 2024, the Internal Medicine Department of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), in collaboration with the Cardiosurgery and Radiology Department, organized an Olympiad on "Urgent Cardiology with Revascularization Therapy" at the IHSM Issyk-Kul campus.
The event focused on coronary heart disease, heart failure (HF), electrocardiography (ECG), and procedures like percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG). Students demonstrated simulations using mannequins and specialized tools, showcasing their knowledge and practical skills.
A panel of expert judges, including T.A. Chodoeva, B.S. Daniyarov, N.A. Asakeev, K.Zh. Asakeeva, and G.I. Ilipaeva, evaluated the participants. The Olympiad was moderated by Nazira T. Kudaibergenova, D.Sc (Medicine), Professor, and Head of the Internal Medicine Department.
Outstanding students received prizes and certificates, highlighting the success of the event.
