The International Higher School of Medicine took part in the Annual International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to Academician I.K. Akhunbaev, held on May 15–17, 2026, under the theme:
“Modern Cardiac Surgery — The Legacy of Academician I.K. Akhunbaev.”
The conference brought together leading cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and other countries to discuss modern approaches, innovations, and current challenges in cardiovascular medicine and surgery.
The scientific program included pediatric and adult cardiac surgery, cardiology and anesthesiology, artificial intelligence and digital technologies in healthcare, minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, chronic heart failure management, and the development of nursing in Central Asia.
The conference also featured presentations by international experts, discussions of complex clinical cases, exhibitions of medical equipment, signing ceremonies of international memorandums of cooperation, and scientific networking and knowledge exchange.
The event honored the outstanding legacy of Academician I.K. Akhunbaev while serving as an important platform for advancing international medical collaboration, education, and innovation in cardiac surgery.
