Admission Procedure for the PhD Program
- Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign nationals, and stateless persons holding relevant higher professional education, confirmed by a diploma in a field corresponding to the program, as well as a certificate of residency (ordinatura) completion, are eligible to apply for the PhD program.
- Admission to the PhD program at IHSM is conducted on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance examinations.
- Applicants to the PhD program at IHSM must pass the following entrance examinations:
- In English (applicants holding valid test certificates – TOEFL iBT 100 or IELTS 6.5 - are exempt from the foreign language exam);
- In the specialty subject («Public Health»);
- An interview to justify the proposed research topic.
- Admission to the entrance examinations is granted upon presentation of a valid passport or other official identification document.
- Re-examination is not permitted.
- The duration of the PhD program is at least three years of full-time study.

List of Documents Required for Admission to the PhD Program
Applicants to the PhD program must submit the following documents to IHSM:
- Application addressed to the Rector of IHSM;
- Notarized copy of the higher education diploma in the specialty/field «Specialist» or the qualification of «Master»;
- Notarized copy of the certificate of residency (ordinatura) completion;
- Certificate from the authorized state body in education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic confirming the level and content of education documents issued by foreign educational institutions;
- Original passport, military ID, and employment record book must be presented in person for verification and will be returned afterward;
- For foreign citizens: copy of passport with a valid visa;
- Justification of the planned dissertation research topic, approved by the intended national or international academic advisor;
- Written consent from the academic advisor to supervise the research (in free form);
- Portfolio;
- Copy of a valid English language proficiency test certificate (if available);
- List of scientific and methodological publications (if available);
- Six photographs, size 3.5 × 4.5 cm;
- Medical certificate in Form 086-U.
- Personal personnel record sheet and a document confirming work experience (for applicants with employment history).
