Announcement of admission to PhD program

Application Period
Applications for admission to the PhD program will be accepted from June 20, 2025 to October 6, 2025. All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the required documents as early as possible to ensure timely processing and publication of the admission decision.

Admission Procedure for the PhD Program
  1. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign nationals, and stateless persons holding relevant higher professional education, confirmed by a diploma in a field corresponding to the program, as well as a certificate of residency (ordinatura) completion, are eligible to apply for the PhD program.
  2. Admission to the PhD program at IHSM is conducted on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance examinations.
  3. Applicants to the PhD program at IHSM must pass the following entrance examinations:
  1. In English (applicants holding valid test certificates – TOEFL iBT 100 or IELTS 6.5 - are exempt from the foreign language exam);
  2. In the specialty subject («Public Health»);
  3. An interview to justify the proposed research topic.
  4. Admission to the entrance examinations is granted upon presentation of a valid passport or other official identification document.
  5. Re-examination is not permitted.
  6. The duration of the PhD program is at least three years of full-time study.
  7. Education is provided on a contractual basis:

List of Documents Required for Admission to the PhD Program
Applicants to the PhD program must submit the following documents to IHSM:

  1. Application addressed to the Rector of IHSM;
  2. Notarized copy of the higher education diploma in the specialty/field «Specialist» or the qualification of «Master»;
  3. Notarized copy of the certificate of residency (ordinatura) completion;
  4. Certificate from the authorized state body in education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic confirming the level and content of education documents issued by foreign educational institutions;
  5. Original passport, military ID, and employment record book must be presented in person for verification and will be returned afterward;
  6. For foreign citizens: copy of passport with a valid visa;
  7. Justification of the planned dissertation research topic, approved by the intended national or international academic advisor;
  8. Written consent from the academic advisor to supervise the research (in free form);
  9. Portfolio;
  10. Copy of a valid English language proficiency test certificate (if available);
  11. List of scientific and methodological publications (if available);
  12. Six photographs, size 3.5 × 4.5 cm;
  13. Medical certificate in Form 086-U.
  14. Personal personnel record sheet and a document confirming work experience (for applicants with employment history).
