National Day of Ak Kalpak

Internal Medicine Department of International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) held an educational event dedicated to the National Day of Ak Kalpak for sixth-semester students. The event featured a presentation on the history, cultural significance, and symbolism of the Kyrgyz national headdress the Ak Kalpak. Students learned about the traditions associated with wearing the kalpak and its various types.

The event took place in a friendly and informative atmosphere. Students showed great interest in the topic, actively asked questions, and engaged with the culture of Kyrgyzstan.

The event was organized by M.A. Irsalieva, responsible for the Kyrgyz language, with the participation of faculty members A.K. Artykbaeva, B.I. Omurkulova, A.A. Alykulova, and N.S. Leontyeva.

Such events not only expand students’ knowledge of the culture and traditions of the Kyrgyz people but also foster a deep interest in national heritage among international students, helping them better understand and appreciate the unique cultural aspects of Kyrgyzstan.
