On May 16, 2025, Professor Tom Shaal, Dean of the Faculty of Health and Healthcare Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Germany), visited the Clinical Simulation Center of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM).
He was welcomed by Ainura M. Satarkulova, Dean of IHSM, Ph.D. in Medicine; Makhabat K. Karagulova, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor and Head of the International Affairs Department; and Svetlana G. Zasedateleva, Head of the Clinical Simulation Center.
As part of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions, Professor Shaal conducted a masterclass and discussed further collaboration on the “Hand Cold Plasma” scientific project with Aybek M. Chakiyev, surgeon of the highest category, Deputy Director of the University Hospital VEDANTA.
He also discussed with Makhabat K. Karagulova the development of a dual degree program under the DAAD scholarship initiative.
The visit marked another step in strengthening academic and research cooperation between IHSM and Zwickau University.
