On October 28–29, 2025, the Global Asia Model United Nations (GAMUN 2025) international conference was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan).
The event aimed to promote international cooperation, strengthen ties among young leaders, and advance the goals and values of the United Nations.
Delegates from Central Asian countries, the USA, and Europe, as well as diplomats, consuls general, and representatives of international organizations, took part in the conference. GAMUN 2025 was held with the support of the United Nations Department of Global Communications in Kazakhstan.
More than a hundred students from various universities discussed pressing global issues and demonstrated their skills in diplomacy, argumentation, and international collaboration.
Members of the “Adabiyyat” Literature Club of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) proudly represented our university on the international stage.
The Model UN included eight committees with agendas in three languages. The IHSM delegation participated online in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) session conducted in English on the topic “Application of the Genocide Convention in the Ongoing Gaza Conflict.”
The confident performances and diplomatic skills of our participants were highly praised - the club members received well-deserved awards.
