From January 26 to February 6, 2026, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) is hosting a research internship for master’s students of Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University (Aktobe, Republic of Kazakhstan) within the framework of the academic mobility program.
The internship brings together 18 master’s students specializing in public health and clinical medicine and which is being organized by the Department of Public Health of IHSM. The program aims to enhance professional and research competencies through modern approaches to scientific research, statistical data analysis, academic writing, and preparation of scientific publications.
As part of the program, the participants study research design and methodology, master modern statistical tools, work with international scientific databases, and receive consultations on thesis writing and publishing in high-impact journals.
On January 27, the master’s students visited the Clinical Simulation Center of IHSM, where Dr. Svetlana G. Zasedateleva, Head of the Clinical Simulation Center, introduced them to the facilities and demonstrated the center’s capabilities.
This internship contributes to strengthening academic and research cooperation between IHSM and Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University and expands opportunities for the professional development of young researchers in an international educational environment.
