Issyk-Kul Campus of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) hosted hosted a delegation led by Prof. Tom Schaal, Dean of the Faculty of Management in Healthcare of West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences (WHZ), Zwickau, Germany.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic cooperation under the DAAD initiative, "Digital Strengthening and Increasing Efficiency in Kyrgyzstan” and partnership between the IHSM and WHZ student exchanges, joint research projects, faculty collaborations, and shared academic programs.
The IHSM delegation included Coordinator of Issyk-Kul Regional Campus - Sandhya Yellampalli, Vice Dean of Issyk-Kul Campus – Sagyndyk k. Venera, Director of the Issyk-Kul VEDANTA Clinic - Dr. Askat Osmonbaev, Director of Center of Secondary Medical Education (CSME) in Cholpon-Ata - Dr. Ainura Mambetova, and Makhabat Karagulova, Head of the International Affairs Department, Ph.D. (Philology), Associate Proffesor, DAAD Alumni.
The program featured a tour of the IHSM Issyk-Kul Campus and Center of Secondary Medical Education, followed by an academic lecture by Prof. Tom Schaal titled "Hand Cold Plasma," delivered to IHSM students. The visit included opportunities for cultural and academic exchange, with an emphasis on exploring the unique features of the Issyk-Kul region.
