IHSM signed memorandum with West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau

On September 18-19, 2024, a delegation from the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau (WHZ), led by Prof. Betina Sedlaczek, Head of the International Office, visited the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) to further enhance their institutional collaboration. The event brought together keyrepresentatives from both institutions to discuss strategic partnerships and explore opportunities for deeper cooperation.

Representatives from IHSM included Rector - Stalbek M. Akhunbaev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs - Ainazik M. Omurzakova, Ph.D.(Law), Kenesh O. Dzhusupov - Head of the Department, Ph.D.(Medicine), Assoc. Professor, Makhabat K. Karagulova, Head of the International Affairs Department, Ph.D. (Philology),Assos.Professor, DAAD Alumni.

The discussions focused on strengthening existing collaborations, particularly in the areas of healthcare education and digitalization. Special attention was given to internationalization strategies, academic mobility programs, and expanding cooperation through the Erasmus+ framework. Both institutions emphasized the importance of promoting faculty and student exchanges to foster cross-cultural academic growth and mutual institutional development.

As part of the program, the delegation toured key IHSM facilities, including the IHSM Administrative Campus, IHSM Medical Clinic "VEDANTA," and the Clinical Simulation Center. These excursions offered the visitors a comprehensive view of IHSM's educational and clinical infrastructure, highlighting the university's cutting-edge medical training and research capabilities.

This visit marks a significant step forward in solidifying the partnership between WHZ and IHSM, setting the stage for future joint projects and shared academic endeavors aimed at mutual growth in the global healthcare education landscape.
