On April 3–4, 2025, the “VITALS” team consisting of 10 eighth-semester students from the Issyk-Kul campus of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), under the guidance of Professor Nazira T. Kudaibergenova, D.Sc.(Medicine), Head of the Internal Medicine Department, took part in the international interdisciplinary student Olympiad “Medical Skills” held at the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA). Competing against 20 teams from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, the IHSM team proudly secured first place among students studying in English-medium programs.
The Olympiad featured two stages: theoretical and practical. During the practical section, students demonstrated their medical knowledge and clinical skills using simulators at the KSMA Simulation Center. The event was held at a high organizational level, fostering academic exchange and professional development.
