Regional Training organized by UNICEF

A Regional Training of Trainers on Home Visitation was held from September 23-27, 2024 jointly organized by the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, the UNICEF Azerbaijan Country Office, and the Step by Step International Association.

This event was part of a broader effort to strengthen home visitation programs across the region, aiming to improve the quality of care and support for families and children.

The training brought together experts and practitioners from across Europe and Central Asia, with a focus on deepening knowledge in early childhood development and introducing participants to an ecological perspective on child development, which emphasized the interplay between children and their environments.

Among the distinguished participants is Ph.D. (Medicine), Associate Professor Gulmira T. Nazhimidinova, a lecturer in the Pediatrics Department at the International Higher School of Medicine. Our representative brought her extensive expertise in pediatrics and early childhood health to the event, contributing to discussions on the best practices.

By the end of the training, participants were prepared to lead initiatives in their own countries, helping to create a stronger support system for families and children through enhanced home visitation programs. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building healthier, more resilient communities by focusing on the well-being of children from the very beginning.
