On September 13th, 2024, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) was honored to host delegations from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus. This visit marks a significant step in fostering international collaboration and advancing global health initiatives.
The delegation from Kazakhstan was led by Ertai Zh. Otarov from the National Center for Occupational Health and Diseases in Karaganda. During the visit, two parties signed a formal agreement, underscoring a commitment to strengthen cooperation in occupational health and medical research.
From Belarus, the delegation included Irina I. Ilyukova, Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of Hygiene, Minsk, and Sergey I. Sychik, Director of the Research Institute of Hygiene, Toxicology, Epidemiology, Virology, and Microbiology. The Belarusian representatives provided insightful presentations on the activities and research focus of their respective institutions.
Discussions between the delegations and IHSM centered on expanding collaborative efforts in research, education, and public health. All parties expressed enthusiasm for developing further cooperative projects aimed at advancing medical knowledge and improving health outcomes.
