A delegation from the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) in collaboration with the IHSM partner @ism_edutech_official embarked on a promotional tour of India to attract potential students and strengthen ties with the Indian medical community. Their two-week itinerary, spanning July 26 to August 8, 2024, included presentations, meetings with students and parents, and media interviews in Bangalore and Bhubaneswar.
Representatives Daniial Sh. Chyngyshpaev, Vice-Rector of Issyk-Kul Campus, Artur I. Buiuklianov, Ph.D.(Medicine), Lecturer, and Marina N. Yarina, Head of the HR Department, delivered presentations about IHSM’s educational programs. These sessions addressed topics such as curriculum alignment with Indian standards, pre-diploma and post-diploma training options, student living arrangements on various campuses including the IHSM Medical Clinic VEDANTA, and international recognition of IHSM diplomas by organizations like WHO, FAIMER and others.
During interactive sessions, parents expressed concerns about student safety, visa processes, and the overall adaptation period. The IHSM delegation provided reassurance, highlighting the university’s collaboration with Kyrgyz authorities and law enforcement to ensure student well-being. Additionally, they explained the support services offered to international students, including annual “Open Day” events for parents and visitors.
The IHSM representatives also participated in media interviews, addressing questions from over 12 outlets in Bhubaneswar alone. Discussions focused on the advantages of studying medicine at IHSM, opportunities for international education through ISM Edutech, and safety measures for students abroad. This promotional tour by IHSM served to raise awareness about their medical programs and potentially open doors for prospective Indian students seeking careers in medicine.
