From June 9 to 20, 2025, the Department of Public Health at the International Higher School of Medicine is hosting a research internship for Aliya Maratovna Makasheva, a second-year doctoral student in Public Health at Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University (Aktobe, Republic of Kazakhstan).
Her research focuses on the topic: “Current State and Improvement of Outpatient Care for Pregnant Women with Diabetes in the Western Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
The internship program includes in-depth discussions on research methodology, survey design, and data analysis techniques. It also provides a platform for comparative analysis of diagnostic and management practices for gestational diabetes across different countries.
This collaborative initiative not only contributes to the advancement of research in maternal health but also strengthens academic ties between the International Higher School of Medicine and Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University.
