On September 26–28, Bishkek hosted the International Forum “Bilingual Education Today: Global Challenges and Effective Practices.” The event was organized by the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, leading universities of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan. The participants included scholars, educators, experts in philology and pedagogy, as well as representatives of international organizations. The program featured plenary sessions, panel discussions, and master classes focused on modern approaches to teaching, the role of bilingualism in shaping competitive specialists, and issues of intercultural communication.
The International Higher School of Medicine was represented by Buteshova Aizada Raisovna, PhD in Philology, Acting Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, who delivered a presentation at one of the sessions. The participation of IHSM in such a significant event confirms the university’s active engagement in international educational and scientific cooperation.
