Issues of Teaching the State Language to Foreign Citizens Discussed

On March 1, 2025, the scientific and practical conference"Issues and Prospects of Teaching the State Language to Foreign Citizens" was organized by the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event aimed to discuss effective methods of teaching the Kyrgyz language to foreign citizens, exchange experiences, and present research findings.

At the opening of the event, Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Melis K. Murataliev, and Head of the State Language Development Sector of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arkarbek Zh. Mamytov, delivered welcoming speeches. The conference brought together language policy experts, university lecturers, and foreign students.

As part of the conference, the book launch of "Learning the Kyrgyz Language" by Jakshylyk B. Akmatalieva, D.Sc.(Philology), Specialist in Central Eurasian studies at the University of Tokyo, Japan, took place. Additionally, Mahabat K. Karagulova, PhD (Philology), Associate Professor, and Head of the International Affairs Department at the International Higher School of Medicine, presented a report on language learning methods using artificial intelligence.
