IHSM Representatives Participate in the BRIMEA 2026 Council Meeting and Education Conference in China
From June 10 to 12, 2026, representatives of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) participated in the 2026 Council Meeting and Education Conference of the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA) held in Shenyang, People’s Republic of China.
The IHSM delegation was headed by Prof. Stalbek M. Akhunbaev, Rector of the International Higher School of Medicine, and included Kenesh O. Dzhusupov, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health, Ph.D. (Medicine), and Myrzaiym Y. Kulova, Head of Foreign Partners Cooperation Sector.
During the conference, Prof. Stalbek M. Akhunbaev delivered two presentations dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence in medical education: “Typical Applications and Effective Practices of AI in Medical Education: Concepts, Models, and Future Development” and “The Profound Impact of AI in Medical Education: Concepts, Models, and Future Development.” The presentations highlighted contemporary approaches to integrating AI technologies into educational processes, innovative teaching models, and future directions for the development of medical education in the era of digital transformation.
The conference brought together leaders and representatives of medical universities from across the Belt and Road region to discuss the future of medical education, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and international academic cooperation.
As part of the programme, IHSM representatives participated in the BRIMEA Council Meeting, the International University Presidents Forum, and the Education Conference held under the theme:
“Empowering Value with Digital Intelligence; Cultivating Talents through Medical Education Innovation.”
During the event, participants exchanged experiences and best practices in medical education, explored innovative approaches to training healthcare professionals, and discussed opportunities for strengthening international academic and scientific cooperation.
Participation in BRIMEA 2026 reflects IHSM’s commitment to expanding international partnerships, promoting innovation in medical education, and contributing to the advancement of global healthcare education through international collaboration.
