June 6 marks the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, a symbol of the beauty, richness, and power of the Russian language. This date is annually celebrated as Russian Language Day.

In honor of this important occasion, on April 24, 2026, the Department of Humanities of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) organized bright and meaningful events aimed at promoting the study of the Russian language and culture among international students.

Together with their teachers, students prepared a rich cultural program featuring poems, songs, and dances in Russian. The highlight of the celebration was the theatrical performance “Zachyot” (credit), a touching and cheerful premiere presented in Russian.

As part of the event, an art competition was also held, and talented participants were awarded prizes and certificates.

A special part of the program was the 10th Annual Russian Language Speech Contest, in which second- and third-semester students delivered nine inspiring presentations on topics such as “My Country,” “Russia,” and others. These presentations reflected not only the participants’ linguistic achievements but also their sincere interest in the chosen themes.

Each participant was awarded a certificate in recognition of their efforts, perseverance, and achievements.

IHSM expresses sincere gratitude to the Russian language teachers for their tireless work, inspiration, and support of students. Thanks to your attentive guidance and high professionalism, this success became possible.

Congratulations on Russian Language Day! May love for language, culture, and art unite us and inspire us toward new achievements!
