On February 27, 2026, a special interview dedicated to the results of the Republican Festival “Kyrgyz Songs Performed by International Students,” held on February 20 at the T. Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic, was broadcast live on the “Madaniyat. Tarikh. Til.” channel of the National Television and Radio Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was organized within the framework of the Republican Festival held to implement the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated December 14, 2024, № 369 “National Spirit — Path to Global Heights,” and was also dedicated to February 21 — International Mother Language Day.
The live broadcast featured: the Head of the Department of State Language and Language Policy of the International Higher School of Medicine, Rima Zaiyrkulova; students who won first place at the festival, Sumedh Petkar and Tushar Jain; Chief Specialist of the National Commission on State Language and Language Policy, Asylbek Orozov; Vice-Rector for State Language and Extracurricular Affairs of the Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev, Artikova Jamal; Head of the Department of State Language at the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, Dinara Myrzagulova, and the students of the department.
During the interview, participants provided detailed information about the festival’s objectives, its social and cultural significance, and the results achieved; they performed songs and showcased their artistic talents live. The broadcast widely covered the festival’s proceedings, the bright stage performances, and the winners’ award ceremony.
As a result, the Republican Festival was highly appreciated as an important cultural event that strengthened the national spirit, united young people toward a common goal, enhanced the prestige of the Kyrgyz language, and laid the groundwork for promoting it at the international level.
