Scientific and Practical Conference “Goals and Lessons of People's Revolutions”
On March 24, a scientific and practical conference titled “Goals and Lessons of People's Revolutions” was held at the National Historical Museum in the city of Bishkek. The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the March Revolution of 2005 and the 15th anniversary of the April Revolution of 2010.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, Member of the Jogorku Kenesh Venera Raimbachaeva, public figure and academician Abdygany Erkeybaev, Presidential Advisor Cholponbek Abykeev, Head of Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Oktyabr Kapalbaev, as well as faculty and students from higher educational institutions, including from the International Higher School of Medicine — State language and language policy department R. Zh. Zaiyrkulova and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities D. K. Jamankulov.
An exhibition titled “People’s Power – On the Path to Sovereignty” was presented to the participants. During the conference, reports were delivered presenting the results of research dedicated to various events and revolutions, their impact on social progress, as well as the causes, course, consequences, and historical outcomes of these events. The people's revolutions played a decisive role in the ongoing process of shaping Kyrgyz statehood and became historic milestones in the development of the nation and the establishment of true democracy.
