D-TIDE-KG — “Digital Transformation for Inclusive Doctoral Education in Kyrgyzstan

From May 18 to 22, 2026, representatives of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) are participating in training seminars held at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) within the framework of the international project D-TIDE-KG — “Digital Transformation for Inclusive Doctoral Education in Kyrgyzstan.”

The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The International Higher School of Medicine acts as the grant holder and coordinating university of the D-TIDE-KG consortium.

The project aims to promote digital approaches in doctoral education, modernize the higher education system, and support the development of an inclusive educational environment in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the seminars, participants discussed the results of the needs analysis conducted among partner universities, as well as key issues related to the digitalization and modernization of existing and new PhD programmes.

The D-TIDE consortium includes the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, eight universities from Kyrgyzstan, and European partner institutions — Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Vilnius University, and the Center for European Documentation.

Participation in the project highlights IHSM’s leading role in advancing international academic cooperation, innovation, and sustainable transformation of higher education in Kyrgyzstan.
