Study Tour to Germany: Developing Digital PhD Education in Collaboration with the D-TIDE-KG Project

A study tour to the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) has concluded, during which international workshops for the Erasmus+ D-TIDE-KG project were held.

The program focused on the digital transformation of higher education and the development of modern approaches to training research personnel. Representatives of the project consortium from Kyrgyzstan and European countries discussed practices for implementing digital solutions in PhD education and exchanged experiences in organizing doctoral programs.

The workshops focused on:
  • the development of a digital science ecosystem—work on creating and populating a unified IT platform that will serve as the foundation for implementing modern digital PhD programs;
  • the integration of international quality standards—discussion of approaches to harmonizing curricula with the principles of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA);
  • expanding access to scientific education—using digital tools to ensure equal opportunities for young researchers from different regions of Kyrgyzstan to obtain a PhD.

The knowledge and practical approaches gained during the workshops will be used to further develop the digital educational environment and improve the university’s doctoral programs.
