On August 25th, 2025, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) hosted a delegation from Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan, as part of the ongoing collaboration on the Noncommunicable Diseases and Aging Project, launched in 2024.
The delegation included:

From IHSM, the meeting was attended by Prof. Vladimir P. Alekseev, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ainazik M. Omurzakova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Professor Kenesh O. Dzhusupov, Head of the Public Health Department, Dr. Svetlana G. Zasedateleva, Head of the Clinical Simulation Center, and Dr. Tugolbai Zh. Tagaev, Specialist of the Scientific and Analytical Department.
The agenda included a welcome speech by Prof. Alekseev, followed by a presentation titled “Noncommunicable Diseases and Aging Among the Elderly in the Kyrgyz Republic: Preliminary Findings, Project Status, and Discussion of Key Issues”, delivered by Dr. Zasedateleva and Dr. Tagaev.
The visit focused on monitoring the project’s progress, evaluating its early outcomes, and discussing potential financing opportunities for future development and expansion.
IHSM takes pride in the fact that one of its own graduates, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, has become a distinguished faculty member of Juntendo University and continues to contribute to strengthening international academic and research cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
