On May 14, 2025, a team from the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) achieved first place at the III International Olympiad in Fundamental and Morphological Disciplines, held at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev.
The event brought together medical students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, providing a platform to showcase academic knowledge and practical skills.
IHSM’s team, "Spinal Surge," led by Astra T. Toktobekova, Vice Head of the Department of Anatomy, earned first place in the team competition. This accomplishment highlights IHSM's continued commitment to academic excellence.
Additionally, first-semester student Ritisha Mandal (Group 2) received a diploma in the nomination “Expert in Anatomical Terms” in the Latin language section. She was mentored by Senior Lecturer Chinara I. Kochkorbaeva from the Humanities Department. Acknowledgment is also given to Elnura B. Myrzagalieva, Lecturer at the Department of Natural Sciences Disciplines, for her role in preparing the student.
