Interdisciplinary Tournament “Natural Sciences: A Triune Challenge” Held at IHSM
The Department of Natural Sciences of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) organized an interdisciplinary tournament entitled “Natural Sciences: A Triune Challenge” for first-semester students.
The qualifying round of the tournament was held on January 22 and involved 105 students. Participants completed 60 test questions in three academic disciplines: General Chemistry, Medical Biology, and Medical Physics.
Based on the results of the qualifying round, 30 students with the highest scores advanced to the second (main) round of the tournament. The finalists were divided into six teams of five students each.
The final round took place on January 27 and included situational tasks and complex logic-based questions covering all three disciplines. The students demonstrated strong interest, teamwork, and a high level of academic engagement.
As a result of the competition, three teams were awarded top places. All participants of the final round received commemorative prizes featuring IHSM promotional materials.
The tournament contributed to the development of interdisciplinary thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic motivation among first-year students.
