From October 31 to November 3, 2025, the International Medical Olympiad “Medicine of the Future 2025” was held at Central Asian University in Tashkent. The event aimed to develop the professional competencies of future doctors and promote the integration of advanced medical knowledge and innovative technologies.
A total of 46 teams from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, India, Indonesia, and other countries took part in the competition.
The Olympiad consisted of several stages:
• 1st round: online selection based on basic medical disciplines
• 2nd & 3rd rounds (Tashkent): practical skills assessment at the simulation center and a five-round question-and-answer challenge
The jury included:
IHSM was represented by the following students:
Paila Nagesh, Wahid Shah Mir, Shaikh Asrar Sharif, Charan Sai Tanikella, Afzal Muhammad Akhtesham.
The team was supervised by the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine Professor Nazira T. Kudaibergenova, D.Sc (Medicine).
The preparation process took place at the IHSM Clinical Simulation Center, headed by Svetlana G. Zasedateleva — Head of the IHSM Clinical Simulation Center.
Thanks to dedicated training and academic effort, the IHSM team demonstrated strong performance and excellent professional potential.
