Kyrgyz Language Speech Contest “Туура сүйлөйлү” Held at the Department of Humanities of IHSM

On April 28, 2026, the Department of Humanities of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) held the Kyrgyz language speech contest aimed at developing speech culture, improving students’ language skills, and building confidence in public speaking.

Four students took part in the contest, presenting prepared reports and presentations on relevant and meaningful topics. Prior to the event, the participants’ speeches had been reviewed during club meetings as part of the preparation process. Each presentation lasted 4–6 minutes.

Special attention was given to correct speech delivery, grammatically accurate sentence construction, clear pronunciation, expressiveness, and confidence before the audience.

All participants demonstrated high activity, strong interest, and a serious approach to preparation. Each student showcased their talents, intellectual potential, and public speaking skills. The contest featured engaging, informative, and well-prepared presentations.

The participants were welcomed by the Head of the Department, Nuriya N. Alymkulova, who noted the students’ responsible attitude toward the event, emphasized the importance of developing speech culture, and wished the contestants further success.

At the end of the competition, Nuriya N. Alymkulova summarized the results, expressed gratitude to the teachers who supervised the participants, and presented gifts and certificates to the students.

The contestants were evaluated by a competent four-member jury using a ten-point system (from 1 to 10 points). Based on the results, the winners and prize holders were determined.

Such events contribute to the development of students’ communication skills, improvement of language proficiency, раскрытию creative potential, and the formation of leadership qualities.
