Academic Mobility Program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China

From March 18 to 27, 2026, representatives of the International Higher School of Medicine successfully completed an international academic mobility program at the Hainan International Medical Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China.

The delegation included faculty members, PhD candidates, and researchers, united by a shared goal of advancing their expertise in cutting-edge areas of modern medicine. The program focused on digital health, artificial intelligence in medicine, bioinformatics, and biostatistics, reflecting global trends in healthcare innovation.

The training combined lectures, scientific seminars, practical workshops, and interactive discussions led by leading international experts. During the first phase, participants explored the fundamentals of bioinformatics and the application of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, including disease diagnosis, biomedical data analysis, and personalized medicine approaches.

The second phase of the program emphasized biostatistics and research methodology. Participants gained insights into designing scientific studies, applying statistical methods to medical data, and interpreting results for evidence-based decision-making in healthcare.

The program brought together participants from multiple countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Portugal, Malaysia, the Philippines, Egypt, Mozambique, Brazil, Vietnam, and Serbia, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

A significant highlight of the visit was a meeting with the campus leadership, where both sides discussed the perspectives of collaboration between IHSM and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

At the conclusion of the program, all participants were awarded official certificates recognizing their successful completion of the training.
