IHSM–Valdosta State University Cooperation Continues to Develop

The cooperation between the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) and Valdosta State University (VSU), USA, continues to develop, creating new opportunities for academic, educational, and cultural exchange.

An important foundation for this partnership was laid through the participation of Makhabat K. Karagulova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the International Relations Department at IHSM, in the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program 2025–2026 at Valdosta State University.

During her academic activities at VSU, Makhabat K. Karagulova actively contributed to establishing and strengthening institutional relations between the two universities. As a result of these efforts, cooperation between IHSM and Valdosta State University advanced to an institutional level, leading to the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation by IHSM Rector Prof. Stalbek M. Akhunbaev.

The partnership has now reached another important stage. Nuriza Satybaeva, a staff member of the International Relations Department at IHSM, is currently at Valdosta State University during the 2026–2027 academic year.

At VSU, she is involved in teaching Russian to foreign-language learners through the Center for International Programs and supporting cultural activities at the university, contributing to intercultural dialogue and further interaction between the academic communities of Kyrgyzstan and the United States.

Her visit represents a practical continuation of the cooperation established between the two institutions and demonstrates the new international opportunities created through IHSM’s consistent efforts to develop academic partnerships.

The International Higher School of Medicine highly values its cooperation with Valdosta State University and looks forward to further strengthening academic, educational, and cultural ties between the two institutions.
