On May 13, 2025, the Department of Humanities at IHSM held a heartfelt requiem lesson in honor of Victory Day.
The event paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of those who fought in the Great Patriotic War — including the invaluable contribution of the Kyrgyz people.
Students from various semesters came together to reflect on history, unity, and the cost of peace. Archival wartime footage helped bring the past to life, and a moment of silence was held in memory of the fallen heroes.⠀
Faculty members shared stories of their relatives who served in the war, with portraits displayed at a special memorial stand.⠀
A powerful message was shared: peace is humanity’s greatest value and must be protected across generations and nations.
As part of the program, students participated in a creative drawing and handicraft contest themed around Victory Day. The most outstanding works were recognized, and all participants received certificates of appreciation.⠀
We remember. We are proud.
