On December 12, 2024, the IHSM Issyk-Kul Campus hosted a vibrant concert celebrating three significant milestones: the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, the 35th anniversary of the Kyrgyz state language, and the birthday of the legendary Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz T. Aitmatov.
The event began with an engaging historical presentation on the formation of the region and a biographical overview of Chyngyz.T. Aitmatov’s life and literary contributions.
Students of the Issyk-Kul Campus, including Sheik Asrar, Tejaswini,Tushar and others performed traditional Kyrgyz songs, while Nazira T. Kudaibergenova, Head of the Internal Medicine Department, D.Sc (Medicine), Professor, captivated the audience with komuz performances of “Kara-Ozgoy” by K.Orozov and “Mash Botoy” by A.Ogonbaev.
The concert was organized with the support of teachers from the Humanities Department, Nargiza B. Tologonova and Eliza T. Aidaralieva, and aimed to introduce foreign students to Kyrgyz culture, fostering integration, unity, and mutual understanding.
