On November 21, 2025, an online meeting of the representatives of the Erasmus + D-TIDE-KG Project funded by European Union was held, aimed at ensuring equitable and high-quality doctoral education through the use of digital technologies in the Kyrgyz Republic. The International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) serves as the Grant Holder and Project Coordinator.
Implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the project seeks to transform PhD education by digitalizing academic programs and expanding access to them for remote and underserved regions. The initiative focuses on modernizing doctoral training and aligning it with international standards to enhance global competitiveness.
The key objectives of the project include the digital transformation of PhD programs through the development of an IT platform, harmonization of doctoral curricula with the standards of the European Higher Education Area and the Bologna Process, capacity building of academic and administrative staff, strengthening partnerships between Kyrgyz and European universities, and reinforcing governance mechanisms by integrating digital doctoral education into national strategies.
The consortium includes Vilnius University in Lithuania, University of Hamburg in Germany, K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University, Osh State University, K.I. Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, International University of the Kyrgyz Republic, I.Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, Kyrgyz National University, S.Naamatov Naryn State University, and the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
