Russian Language Day at IHSM

June 6 marks the birthday of the great poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin — a symbol of the beauty and power of the Russian language.

In honor of this important date, the Department of Humanities at IHSM organized vibrant event aimed at studying and promoting the Russian language and culture among international students.

Students, together with their teachers, prepared a rich cultural program featuring poems, songs, and dances in Russian. The highlight of the celebration was the theatrical performance "The Turnip" — a touching and cheerful premiere presented entirely in Russian. A drawing contest was also held, where talented participants were awarded prizes and certificates.

As part of the celebration, the 9th Annual Russian Language Speech Contest took place. Second- and third-semester students delivered nine inspiring presentations on topics such as "My Country", "My Life in Kyrgyzstan", and more. These speeches reflected not only the students’ language achievements but also their sincere connection to the chosen topics.

Each participant was awarded a certificate in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.

Sincere thanks go to the Russian language teachers for their tireless work, inspiration, and support. This success would not have been possible without their dedicated guidance.

Happy Russian Language Day!
