International Scientific Conference “Green and Digital Universities for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan”
From September 1 to 3, 2025, K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University is hosting the International Scientific Conference “Green and Digital Universities for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan”, held under the European Union Erasmus+ project GREENKG (ERASMUS+101126755-GREEN KG-ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE). The event, hosted by K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University, gathers universities from Kyrgyzstan and Europe, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic, government officials, and international experts to discuss green and digital transformation in higher education.
On the first day, the important sessions and working meetings took place: • Project presentation by the IHSM team • Discussion on the development of the mandatory interdisciplinary course and elective micro-credential modules (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences – HAW) • Working sessions on course refinement • Presentations of GreenKG courses by participating universities, followed by discussion and feedback.
The International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) is represented by Kenesh O. Dzhusupov, Head of Public Health Department, Ph.D. (Medicine), Associate Professor; Chinara S. Ismailova, Head of Natural Sciences Disciplines Department, Ph.D., Acting Associate Professor; and Makhabat K. Karagulova, Head of International Affairs Department, Ph.D. (Philology), Associate Professor. The program features plenary sessions, scientific panels, and presentations of new courses on sustainable development.
Alongside academic exchange, participants will take part in networking and cultural activities, including historical landmarks. The GREENKG project promotes sustainable development through green and digital innovations in higher education, strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyz and European institutions. IHSM reaffirms its commitment to Erasmus+ projects, continuously participating to enhance its academic excellence, international cooperation, and research development.
