Applications for admission to the Residency program will be accepted from June 20, 2025 to October 10, 2025. All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the required documents as early as possible to ensure timely processing and publication of the admission decision.

Admission Procedure for the Residency Program
1. Graduates of higher medical educational institutions or practicing physicians may be admitted to the residency program at IHSM, provided they submit the required documents confirming the appropriate level of education in accordance with the approved list.
2. Education of foreign citizens in the higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic is carried out based on international agreements that have entered into force in accordance with established procedures and to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party, as well as on the basis of agreements between educational institutions or with individual citizens.
3. Admission to the residency program at IHSM is conducted on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations.
4. The entrance examination is conducted in the form of an oral exam using a ticket-based system in the chosen specialty.
5. Enrollment is formalized by an official order of the Rector of IHSM.
6. Mode of study: full-time.
7. Training is carried out on a contractual basis - 3,000 $ per academic year.
8. Duration of study by specialty:
Obstetrics and Gynaecology - 2 years
Paediatrics -1 year
Internal Medicine - 2 years
Traumatology and Orthopaedics - 2 years
Surgery - 2 years
Family Medicine - 1 year
List of Documents Required for Admission to the Residency Program
Applicants to the residency program must submit the following documents to IHSM:
1. Personal application from the applicant, indicating the date of submission;
2.Identity document confirming citizenship;
3. Original and copy of the diploma of higher medical education (specialist degree) and its supplement;
4. Original and copy of the certificate of completed internship/residency (if available);
5. Military ID (if available, for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic);
6.Four photographs, size 3.5 × 4.5 cm;
7. Documents confirming individual achievements (recommendations from educational and scientific institutions, recommendations from medical institutions, published works, inventions, etc.);
8. Personal personnel record sheet (certified by the last place of study or work); applicants who have not worked or studied for more than one year must complete the record sheet upon submission of documents;
9. Autobiography (handwritten).
For applicants who studied at foreign universities: An original of the legalized (if required) foreign education document and its supplement (if applicable according to the legislation of the country where the document was issued), duly certified, along with a translation into Kyrgyz or Russian;
Additionally, a copy of the certificate of recognition (equivalency) of the foreign educational document with a diploma of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic, issued by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cases stipulated by the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
