III International Olympiad in Fundamental and Morphological Disciplines

On May 14, 2025, the team from the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) achieved a remarkable victory at the III International Olympiad in Fundamental and Morphological Disciplines, held at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev. The competition brought together medical institutions from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

IHSM's team, “Spinal Surge,” led by Astra T. Toktobekova, Vice-Head of the Department of Anatomy, earned 1st place in the team category, showcasing exceptional knowledge and skills across multiple fundamental and morphological disciplines.

In the individual contests, IHSM students also delivered outstanding results:

  • 1st place in Biochemistry – Soudip Singha, supervised by Shirin S. Bakirova, Lecturer
  • 2nd place in Topographic Anatomy – Aadil Khan, supervised by Astra T. Toktobekova
  • 2nd place in Pathological Anatomy – Muhammad Abbas, supervised by Dr. Raushan Turdakunova
  • 2nd place in Normal Physiology – Anchal Thakur, supervised by Ykyval T. Taalaibekova, Lecturer

The administration of IHSM extends its heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all faculty members for their dedicated mentorship including Zhanyl B. Imetkulova—and to the students for their hard work, determination, and passion for excellence.
