On 28th February 2023, Mr. Arun Kumar Chatterjee, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kyrgyz Republic visited the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM). The ambassador was accompanied by Mr. N. Ponnappan, Second Secretary, and Ms. Nadezhda Kuzina, Senior Interpreter.

During the visit, the ambassador and his delegation were given a tour of the main campus of the IHSM, where they met with the students and the presidents of the student organizations of the IHSM and were impressed by the quality of education and facilities provided by the institution. The ambassador appreciated the efforts of the IHSM in promoting quality medical education.

In addition to that, the delegation also visited the Medical Clinic of the IHSM "Vedanta". They were briefed about the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities available at the clinic. As a result of the meeting, the ambassador praised the IHSM for providing affordable and quality healthcare services to the people of Kyrgyzstan.

The visit of the ambassador and his delegation to the IHSM is expected to further strengthen the ties between India and Kyrgyzstan in the field of education and healthcare.
