The Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU) named after I. Razzakov is pleased to announce the successful commencement of the Erasmus+ DEFA project: "Development of financial autonomy of universities in Kyrgyzstan." The project's Kick-off Meeting was held on February 2, 2023, within the university premises.

Distinguished representatives from various organizations and institutions attended the event, including the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan, Gulnara Isaeva, and key partners of the DEFA project. 

Additionally, esteemed delegates from European universities, namely Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (OVGU), University of Florence (UNIFI), European Center for Research and Initiatives (CESIE), and rectors from participating Kyrgyzstan universities, graced the occasion as invited guests.

The DEFA project, which aims to foster the financial autonomy of universities in Kyrgyzstan, has received substantial financial support from the European Commission. Through this collaboration, the project partners and stakeholders endeavor to implement strategies that enhance the financial sustainability of universities, promote effective resource management, and bolster the educational landscape in Kyrgyzstan.
