The inclusion of the academic discipline "History of Kyrgyzstan" in the list of compulsory academic subjects taught to international students meets the general requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. The purpose of teaching this discipline is a general understanding of the main stages of the historical development of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of world history, including economic, political and cultural aspects, which allows students to integrate faster and more organically into the local environment, apply their humanitarian knowledge more successfully in practice and learn more about the host country during their studies. A comprehensive understanding of the historical development of the state and society, as well as the role of individuals in history, is traditionally considered an integral component of any education, regardless of the field of study and specialization. Based on the example of knowledge about the life and work of great historical figures, including great doctors, in ancient, medieval or modern times, students will come to understand the need to strive for encyclopedic knowledge in all areas of modern life in order to be able to conduct comprehensive scientific research in the field of their professional activities.
